ALBANY, GA– Toyota of Albany has partnered with the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia during the month of October to help promote breast cancer awareness. Mike Neves, General Manager of Toyota of Albany, states that for every new vehicle sold in October, the dealership will donate $100 to the Cancer Coalition.

“Breast cancer has affected a staggering number of South Georgians,” said Neves “Toyota of Albany wants to help promote awareness and also support the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia.”

On behalf of the Cancer Coalition, CEO Diane Fletcher gratefully accepted Toyota of Albany’s generous gesture. “All funds raised from Toyota’s efforts will be used to serve local residents through our nationally-recognized Community Cancer Screening Program™,” said Fletcher.

The Coalition’s screening program, in collaboration with local clinical partners, provides breast, cervical, prostate and colorectal cancer screening for uninsured and underinsured residents. Health Navigators provide one-on-one education and assist patients in accessing needed services, and are key to the program’s success.

“It was important to us that all funds raised stay here in South Georgia to fight breast cancer in our local communities,” said Neves regarding why he chose the Cancer Coalition of South Georgia as the beneficiary. Neves added, “If you are in the market to buy a new vehicle, come buy one from Toyota of Albany and be a part of raising money for breast cancer awareness.”

Toyota of Albany will hold a Breast Cancer Awareness Event on Saturday, October 20th. Cancer Coalition staff and volunteers will serve lunch and provide more information about the organization’s programs and services. The luncheon will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
